Today I left my house and embarked on a short trip by train to a new exhibit that opened at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Celebrating more than 40 years of video game achievements when it comes to the games and its mechanics. They have two things going on, GameFest, which started yesterday is three days of every gamers dreams. The ability to play some older games and current games, meet people like Hideo Kojima, Keith Robinson, and Ken Levine. Most importantly, the consoles on display in the exhibit that shows the long history of video games and how much the industry has grown. The GameFest Event is in its Second Day and later tonight they will show the movie “The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters” which if you haven’t seen it by now, and you’re in the DC area tonight…you should check it out. Tomorrow the GameFest event ends, but the exhibit doesn’t until September. To hold you over, here is short video and some pictures from the event.
