The first reboot of the Medal of Honor series definitely came up short. Now within a weeks time, Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be seen by the world for the first time at the San Francisco Game Developer’s Conference. One can wonder what they have in the works for this since the last clearly fell on its face. Well here’s the helmet, the game developers are trying to adapt the Frostbite 2.0 engine to Medal of Honor. The Frostbite 2.0 engine allows Battlefield 3 to have extensive mass destruction in their outside environments. Medal of Honor: Warfighter on the other hand wants to use it to pay attention to detail like wood splinters, bottles breaking, and more things like that.
Danger Close also plans to add two more game modes to Warfighter. One will be a type of co-op that will unlikely tie to the campaign. The other will a be a hardcore game mode, much like you would see in a lot of shooters today. Danger Close will be keeping to their very own which could easily be good or bad. Instead of taking DICE’s route and using U.S. versus an opposing force Danger Close will be using nationalities. Examples would be British, Polish, and German operatives. This could easily spell out some of what will be in the campaign. The game is sent to ship to the U.S. on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and possibly the Wii U in October of this year.
