“We wanted to put some elements of single-player into the multiplayer so the multiplayer will have a lot more detail and have elements of story in it and have a sort of a immersive quality,” said Houser.

“We think that’s something that is underexplored in multiplayer.”

This is a quote from Rockstar Games Co-Founder Dan Houser who also happens to be the lead writer for Max Payne 3, he said that very thing during an interview with Variety. Don’t worry Max Payne Fans, because there is still a campaign mode outside of multi-player, just expect little tiny pieces from single player to possibly enhance that experience.
